CAPRA’s Early Learning Academy provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment in which we deliver academic and social skills lessons to toddlers between the ages of 3 and 5. Lessons are designed to prepare our youngest students for the transition from preschool to “big school.”
Our highly qualified team of Early Childhood teachers aims to slowly familiarise your child with the classroom learning environment, helping to overcome the fears many children feel when acclimatising to the kindergarten setting.
CAPRA classes aim to inspire, educate and enhance your child’s development through fun and interactive lessons. At CAPRA, we recognise the importance of a solid grounding in reading, writing and arithmetic for use in everyday life. It is not just a solid grounding in topic areas that gives our young students an advantage. Of equal importance is the development of your child’s self-esteem, social independence and emotional maturity.
Our expert teachers tailor our programmes to meet every child’s unique needs. Students are grouped according to their age with 3 and 4 year olds placed in Junior and Pre-Kindy classes respectively. Our small class sizes (maximum of 6 students) allow a high level of individual attention to be given to each student.
What do our Junior & Pre-Kindy classes involve?
Phonetic awareness and language skills
Sight words, word blending and early reading
Correct pencil grip and early handwriting skills
Social skills such as team work, listening, sharing, speaking and taking turns
Learning behaviours: cooperating with other children, following instructions and participating in class
Number games and activities to develop concentration, memorisation and reasoning skills
Music, singing, role play
Use of appropriate educational software to familiarise your child with technology
